Dr Sam Firoozi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at St George's Hospital in London. Following his medical and cardiology training in London, in 1999 he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Fellowship enabling him to undertake clinical research into heart muscle disease and sports cardiology at St George's University of London. He then trained in general and interventional cardiology, including an interventional cardiology fellowship at St George's University which led to his appointment as a consultant general and interventional cardiologist in 2009. He has a special interest in high-risk coronary intervention and structural heart intervention, including TAVI and has developed a very high-volume interventional practice.
